Founded in 1965, the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) is one of the largest nonprofit providers of educational, social, and community services for Asian Americans in the United States.  It now serves over 8,000 people daily through some 70 programs in 32 locations citywide.

CPC’s Community Services Division houses CPC’s community-based social service programs – including the Multi Social Services Center, the Asian Family Services, the Asian Child Care Resource and Referral program, Early Intervention program, the HIV/AIDS Services, and Project C.O.P.E.  In addition, CPC’s Workforce Development Division, and a component of its Youth Services Division, are located at the Community.

CPC is proud to support the 34th Asian American International Film Festival and sponsor “The Piano in a Factory”.

The Piano in a Factory

Zhang Meng | 105min | China | Mandarin w/ES
Chelsea Clearview | 2:30PM | August 13, 2011

Ticket:  $13 (General admission), $9 (CPC members)

Chen (Qian-yuan Wang) is in a nasty custody battle with his estranged wife. A man of little means, he struggles to obtain a piano at all costs in order to convince his young daughter to stay with him. The harsh reality of his desolate life is pleasantly juxtaposed against quaint music and dreamlike scenes.

CPC’s discounted ticket code to this movie can be purchased online at www.aaiff.org by inputting "iloveaaiff" or by phone (212)-989-0017.

Please contact Mabel Long at (212) 941-0920 x140 or mlong@cpc-nyc.org, if you want to buy 10+ more tickets for your members in bulk. For more information, please go to www.aaiff.org.
