Program:

PAVE (Youth Division)

Requires:

MA in Education, Business, Social Sciences, Counseling or related; or BA with 2 years exp; computer and communication skills

Duties:

Plan, implement and manage all aspects of program; coordinate tests and evaluations of youth; conduct career and life skills workshops; maintain student files; facilitate staff meetings and program trips.

Requires:

BA with 2 years exp; computer and communication skills

Duties:

Prepare lesson plans for life and career workshops; facilitate computer assisted instruction; network with agencies for internship opportunities; identify and plan educational field trips; maintain program files.

Program:

PATS (Youth Division) at Seward Park High School

Requires:

BA with 1 year exp; computer and communication skills; BILINGUAL in CHINESE Language REQUIRED; Ability to work with NYC High School System; Punctual.

Duties:

Conduct new-to-school orientations to non-English speaking students; provide counseling and assist new immigrant students with transition to NYC education system; organize field trips; maintain budgets, reports and meeting logs with staff and students

Oversee 20 elementary to jr high students; plan and implement educational activities curriculum with literacy lessons in reading and writing; provide assistance to other program activities

Requires:

Bachelor degree with job development experience or equivalent. Proficiency in verbal and written expression both in English and Chinese. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to organize multiple projects and maintain a schedule of activities.

Duties:

Develop/implement plan to market employment program/participants to the health care industry; Assist program in recruitment, assessment and orientation to participants; Provide “World of Work” workshops, including resume writing and interviewing skills; Responsible for Individual and group counseling; Maintain strategic relationships with diverse group of employers; develop jobs for participants; Other duties assigned by the program director; Accountable to the director for program operations

Position: Preventive Caseworker

Program:

Preventive Services for Children

Requires:

Bachelor level in Social Work, Social Science or counseling; Bilingual in Chinese and English a must; Excellent written and communication skill; Knowledge of the child welfare system; Ability to work under pressure, with families and children and have good interpersonal skills.

Duties:

Determine client’s eligibility for entitlement, such as public assistance (PA), food stamps, Medicaid and social service; Assess family management skills, home conditions, and the element of risk to the child, progress in resolving the issue, situation or condition that has led to the provision of services through visitations to home and institutions; Conduct face-to-face meetings; Advocate for clients’ entitlement and social services; Work with the courts, including the family and the juvenile courts, in an attempt to help children and parents work out satisfactory pattern of relationship and behavior; Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
