The Chinese-American
Planning Council Brooklyn Branch office aims
to serve the rapidly increasing Chinese Immigrant
population in the borough of Brooklyn, especially
in the Sunset Park and Bay Ridge area.
Some of the programs offered
by the CPC Brooklyn Branch Office include
Beacon and After-School Child Care programs.

Housing Services
The Housing Services
program focuses on housing preservation
issues. This program aims to provide
information on tenant and landlord rights
as well as rent policies and regulations.
The Housing program will also handle
tenant housing complaints, and homeowner
housing violations. Housing Services
also provides information on senior
homeowner reduced real estate tax and
senior citizen rent increase exceptions
as well as other housing issues and
housing related subsidies. In addition,
the Housing Services program will provide
assistance in applying for affordable
housing along with home purchase information
and counseling for lower and middle-income
families. The Housing program serves
about 300 people a year. This program
is funded bythe Department of Housing
Preservation and Development.

Senior Food
Program
The food for senior
program aims to to provide inexpensive
and nutritional lunch to seniors ages
55 and up. Members can choose to come
in and enjoy a meal at the Branch office
provided that arrangements are made
in advance. Meals can be delivered to
doorstep if a member can provide a doctors
note and documented proof that he/she
is not mobile.
